RAAL 1995 Immanis FilterSet
The RAAL 1995 Immanis FIR filter pack contains four separate high-resolution FIR eq filtersets:
FilterSet 1 = neutral
FilterSet 2 = neutral plus bass extension
FilterSet 3 = neutral plus treble extension
FilterSet 4 = neutral plus bass and treble extension
Each FilterSet contains filters with sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 384 kHz and packaged as a .zip file that can be used in most convolvers, like Hang Loose Convolver and Roon for example. Mono 352.8 kHz mono filters are also included for HQPlayer.

Frequency Response Measurement & Correction
The Immanis is a fast, open, but bright sounding headphone. The headphone’s frequency response is a bit uneven starting with a 2 dB bass bump below 80 Hz. This is followed with a few smaller bumps in the 150 Hz, 300 Hz, and broader bump in the 400 Hz to 1.5 kHz region. There is a dip in frequency response in 1.5 to 2.5 kHz region followed by the largest deviation of +6 dB in the 3kHz to 6 kHz region which gives the headphone a distinctively forward sonic signature.
Engaging the high-resolution neutral convolution filter produces a ruler flat response, eliminating the “in your ear” upper midrange peak resulting in a neutral sound. The soundstage and depth of field is increased with the lead vocals and instruments “sitting in the pocket” of the mix.
The chart above plots the neutral frequency response. The bass extension filter restores Alex’s bass bump and extends the low frequency response to -3 dB at 20 Hz. The treble extension filter maximizes the high frequency resolution capabilities of the headphone. Depending on the music genre, quality of the mix and master, and how loud you listen, there is a filter to match.
Equalizing the headphone flat also equalizes the minimum phase response:
Ensuring flat minimum phase response through the midrange and high frequencies maximizes the immense and open sound stage of the Immanis. One could be convinced it is like a nearfield monitoring setup using speakers but without the room acoustics (or poorly designed monitors) messing up the soundstage. The Immanis with the FIR correction filters provides the most realistic sound stage better than any other headphone in this collection. A unique immersive listening experience.
